Metropolitan Lake Development (MLD) has kickstarted its maiden project, Keponggi Square,
which is part of the Metropolitan Waterfront Masterplan. Keponggi Square, which has a Gross
Development Value (GDV) of RM220 million, is slated for completion in 1Q23. Located next to
the Kepong Metropolitan Lake, the 6.8-acre commercial shoplot development is poised to be the
next retail hub within the neighbourhood. Embellished by its food and beverage, entertainment,
activity market and place-making open piazza concept, Keponggi Square will house 73 retail
outlets, in which 70% has been sold. The development of Keponggi Square marks the first
phase within the broader 14.6-acre master plan with a GDV of RM750 million, which comprises
an ecosystem of retail and residential components. The next phases of this master plan will
include condominium and affordable housing projects within the parcel.
